Marian Hulsey E-mail
Thursday, 07 August 2008

Marian Hulsey, 81, of Benton went straight to heaven Wednesday night, Aug. 6, 2008.
She was born Sept. 2, 1926, in New Orleans.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andre Mouton and Corinne Fortier Mouton; three brothers; Joseph Andre Mouton, Robert “Bob” Mouton and Dr. Ramon Mouton; and one sister, Amelie Mouton.
Marian taught in school for 39 years, but more than education, she taught love, compassion and consideration to all who met her. After she retired from Hall High School in 1988, she volunteered at the Stew Pot in Little Rock for many years and worked tirelessly to stop abortion.
She attended Our Lady of Fatima Church in Benton for over 50 years.
She taught many adults to read and volunteered many summers to teach the underprivileged in Scott, Ark.
Ms. Hulsey is survived by one daughter, Irene Hobbs of Bryant and her husband Virgil; and the loves of her life, her grandchildren, Felisity Powell of Seminole, Okla., Rachelle Hobbs of Bryant and Rusty Hobbs, also of Bryant; and one special great-grandson, Ashton of Bryant.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at Dial & Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant. Burial will be in Traskwood Cemetery
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, at Dial & Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant with a rosary beginning at 6 p.m.
