Event activities include a car corral, on-site trailer parking, door prizes, goodie bags, dash plaques, a 50-50 pot and three judging divisions, organizer George Beyers said. With 100 point-judging, the divisions include: •Historic, authentic restorations with classes through 1982. •Touring, vehicles which look original but have minor mechanical modifications for touring. •Rod & Custom, one-of-a-kind creations. As an additional celebration, the club is hosting the 50th anniversary fall car show of the Mid-America Old Time Auto Association, Beyers noted. A special display of 1958 vehicles will be on exhibit. The Historic division will be classed and judged by MOTAA, he said. The Touring division will have 19 classes with first-, second- and third-place trophies awarded in each. The Rod & Custom division will have six classes through 2008 model year with first-, second- and third-place trophies in each. Additional special awards will be given for best of show, ugliest car, longest distance driven, best engine, best paint and best interior. Also, three commemorative awards in tribute to John McMahan, T.I. Wood and Ferrell Price will be awarded. “This event offers an opportunity for spectators to view antique, vintage, classic, exotic and specialty cars and trucks,” Beyers said. There is no admission or parking charge for spectators.” In addition to the classification entry fee, the Historic division entries require the $30 MOTAA membership fee to qualify for a senior award and may be paid at the gate, Beyers said. The show field opens at 7 a.m. Registration is from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Award presentation will begin at 3:30 p.m. Overnight lodging reservations may be made at the Days Inn by calling 776-0906, Beyers noted.
