The Quorum Court on Tuesday night approved an ordinance to fund the position through the county Airport Commission. Justices of the Peace met at the courthouse in Downtown Benton. Salary for the administrative assistant will be about $25,000 annually. JPs also appropriated $728 for employee benefits for the position. The position is needed to handle administrative tasks related to all the work going on at the new airport, commission Chairman Mark Westbrook said.
