Bryant police ID suspect in robbery E-mail
Saturday, 03 January 2009
Bryant police are searching for a Little Rock man suspected of robbing the US Bank branch at 100 Commerce Drive on Tuesday.
Brian Keith Robinson, 49, of Little Rock allegedly entered the bank just after 5 p.m. Tuesday with a note demanding money. The note reportedly read “empty both drawers, no bait,” and police said a teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of money.
Robinson then fled the bank toward a nearby Burger King restaurant with the money and note, police said. He was later spotted leaving in a light blue, two-door car traveling in an unknown direction.
Police said the teller said the suspect was wearing blue jeans, reading glasses and a gray shirt with paint spots on both the jeans and shirt. The teller also told police that the man never displayed a weapon during the robbery.
Sgt. Harold Edmonson said Robinson is on parole for conviction of a previous bank robbery.
“We know (Robinson) has been seen in the Little Rock and Searcy areas,” Edmonson said. “It is also possible that he is staying in local hotels in Central Arkansas.”
Edmonson said the vehicle Robinson is likely driving is a 1990s model, light blue Lincoln Continental with dual exhaust. He said Robinson should be considered dangerous.
