Local Holy Week services begin Monday |

Saline County Ministerial Alliance will conduct its traditional Holy Week services Monday through Friday at Benton’s First United Metho-dist Church, 200 N. Market St.
Services are from noon to 1 p.m. A free lunch is provided for anyone attending, and a love offering will be taken each day to benefit Ministerial Alliance projects. The ecumenical services are open to persons of all faiths. Following is the schedule for Holy Week: •Monday — Dr. Rick Grant, pastor of Benton’s First Bap-tist Church, will preach. Music will be presented by Trinity Baptist Church, and the prayer will be given by the Rev. H.W. Snowden, pastor of Walnut Street Church of God. Host churches are First Baptist, Trinity Baptist, Wal-nut Street Church of God and First Assembly of God, all of Benton. •Tuesday — The Rev. Bill Elser of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Benton will preach. The Rev. Lorrie Slaymaker of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Benton will give the prayer and music will be presented by First Pentecostal Church of Benton. Host churches are First Church of the Nazarene in Benton, First Pentecostal of Benton, St. Matthew’s Episcopal and Our Lady of Fatima Catholic. •Wednesday — The Rev. Hart Moore of First Christian Church will preach. The Rev. Jay Emerson of Apostolic Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church in Benton will give the prayer and music will be presented by Parkview United Methodist Church in Benton. Host churches are First Christian of Benton, Apostolic Tabernacle and Parkview United Methodist. •Thursday — The Rev. Jason Keisler of New Life Assembly of God in Haskell will preach. The prayer will be given by the Rev. David Brewer of Benton Foursquare Church and music will be presented by Highland Heights Baptist Church of Benton. Host churches are Benton Foursquare, New Life Assembly of God in Haskell, Highland Heights Baptist, First Presbyterian of Benton and First Pentecostal of Bryant. •Friday — The Rev. Gary Teeter, associate pastor of First United Methodist Church of Benton, will preach. Saline County Chaplain Tamra Gore will give the prayer and music will be presented by Calvary Baptist Church of Benton. Host churches are First United Methodist Church of Benton, Saline County Law Enforcement Chaplaincy Association and Calvary Baptist Church of Benton.
