A head-on collision involving two motorcycles late Thursday night resulted in the death of a Saline County man.
Jerry Conrad, 32, of Alexander died at the scene of the accident on Lawson Road near the intersection with Congo-Ferndale Road, according to a Saline County Sheriff’s Office report. The other person involved, Ethan Ginn, 17, also of Alexander, reportedly was taken to Baptist Medical Health Center in Little Rock. No condition report for Ginn was available by press time. Deputy Lisa Yates said a witness reported seeing the two motorcycles and debris on the roadway around 9 p.m. The witness reportedly said she observed a white T-shirt on the right side of the road. She said she saw Conrad on the roadway and that she detected a faint pulse. In the deputy’s incident report, it noted that Ginn was found on the left side of the road and that he had a good pulse. When emergency medical personnel administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation to Conrad, there was no response and he did not have a pulse, the deputy’s report stated. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Both Ginn and Conrad were driving dirt bikes, the deputy noted. Careless and prohibited driving was reported as a contributing factor for the accident.
