Moonlight Cat Adoption Event is tonight E-mail
Thursday, 11 June 2009
The Humane Society of Saline County and Bryant Animal Control are joining forces tonight to co-host the second annual Moonlight Cat Adoption Event.
The project is being held in conjunction with June being designated as National Adopt-a-Cat Month, which is the time of year when shelters receive an influx of kittens.
The local event is scheduled from 5 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursda at the Humane Society animal shelter, 7600 Bauxite Highway in Bauxite.
Both agencies will have neutered cats and kittens available for immediate adoption at the event, Ann Sanders, director of the Humane Society, said. Adopters will receive a bag of Science Diet pet food and a cat toy as long as supplies last.
In addition, gift baskets for both pets and pet lovers will be available for sale. T-shirts and other merchandise also will be sold, Sanders noted.
