Benton Parks Commission has vacancy after former Alderman Burleson resigns E-mail

A replacement is being sought to fill a vacant position on the Benton Parks Commission.
Warren Burleson has resigned from the panel.
Burleson, a former alderman, said, in a letter to Mayor Rick Holland, that he is resigning “due to medical issues and extended travel in the future.”
“I do not feel that I can effectively continue in this position,” Burleson said in the letter in which he expressed appreciation for the “opportunity to serve the people of Benton.”
He said he enjoyed his tenure on the panel.
Holland asked that individuals who would like to be considered for the commission to submit resumes to his office at 114 S. East St.
