Pamela Scheler, 52, of Killeen, Texas, died Tuesday, June 23, 2009. She was born July 28, 1956, in Tell City, Ind., to Morris and Betty Scheler. Mrs. Scheler earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. She earned a master’s degree in psychology from University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas. She was the director of Caring and Family Network in Killeen, Texas. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frankie and Edna Goffinet and Virgil and Elizabeth Scheler. Survivors include her husband, Brett Messer of Killeen, Texas; two sons, Adam Warford and wife Amberlyn of Benton and Jordan Warford and wife Sarah of Conway; two grandchildren, Ainsley and Addison Warford, both of Benton; her parents, Morris and Betty Scheler of Magnet, Ind.; three sisters, Beth Flamion of Magnet, Ind., Shelley Wheatley and Jema Watts, both of Tell City, Ind; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in Leopold, Ind. Memorials may be made to the Derby Cemetery, 10170 State Road 70, Tell City, IN 47586. Family comments: Pamela loved life and brought so much joy to the people who knew her. She loved music, pottery, genealogy, reading, traveling, camping and spending time with her family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren.
