Gary Lynn Thomas Sr. 57, of Benton died Thursday, March 22, 2007, in Little Rock. 
    He was born Dec. 9, 1949, in Little Rock to Carlson Thomas and LaDonna Thomas Leamon.
    Mr. Thomas served in the Army and was a Vietnam veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Carlson Thomas Jr.  and one grandson, Cory Austin Thomas.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Thomas of Benton; one son, Gary Thomas Jr. and wife Melissa of Benton; one daughter, Lacy Thomas of Benton; two grandchildren, Matthew David Thomas and Madison Elizabeth Thomas.
Memorial service will be held by the family at 10 a.m. Monday at Benton First Assembly of God with David White officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ashby Funeral Home.
    Honorary pallbearers are Bo Giacoletti, Jimmy Giacoletti, Mario DeGiuli, Bryan Gossett, Randy Kelly, Rick Elmendorf, J.D. Elmendorf and Michael Elmendorf and the men who played golf with him at Longhills Golf Course.
