BACK TO SCHOOL LUNCHEON IN BENTON E-mail

School employees and community leaders gather Monday for the annual luncheon that signifies the start of a new school term in the Benton School District. Superintendent Tony Prothro welcomed those attending the event that included a meal catered by Pasta Jack’s and door prizes donated by several local businesses and individuals. Remarks were given by Sam Stueart, school board president, who commended teachers for the profound effect they have on young people. “You touch lives,” Stueart said. “You deserve a lot more than we can compensate you for ...
