Blanche Lincoln on Thursday near the Benton A&P Commission building. Lincoln met with local leaders to hear a proposal from the Saline County Economic Corporation on a possible Central Arkansas Fairplex in the city, but the protestors wanted to voice their concerns about the Democrats’ health care reform plan. Waymire said he at first stopped to “find out what they were protesting” but quickly defended his support of President Barack Obama, who presented the health care plan to Congress.
