    Josh Lee Chapman, 70, of Benton died Monday, March 26, 2007, at Saline Memorial Hospital.  
    He was born July 11, 1936, in Westville, Okla. to Roy and Ollie Chapman, the youngest of 12 children.
    Mr. Chapman was retired from the U. S.  Air Force and the Saline County Appraiser’s office and was also a past member of the board of directors at Civitan Services.  He was a member of the Church of Christ.  He was a wood artist.
    In addition to his parents, Mr. Chapman is predeceased by one grandchild, Rachel Ann Chapman.
    Survivors include his wife, Betty Chapman of Benton; four children, Steve “Les” Chapman of Larkspur, Colo., Debbie Chapman Elder of Bryant, Edward Lee Chapman and his wife Donna of Arlington, Wash., and Denise Michelle Chapman of  Ft. Smith; one brother, Robert Eugene Chapman of Basehor, Kan.; one sister, Helen Chapman Williams of West Siloam Springs; five grandchildren, Andrea Martinez, Jennifer Martinez Ballew and her husband Brent, Zachariah Garrett, Kattianne Chapman and Megan Chapman; three great-grandchildren, Corbin Ballew, Sethjan Ballew, and Brody Ballew; and other relatives and friends.  
    Memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home, with Dr. John P. Lewis officiating.  
Burial with military honors will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.  
    The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.    Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the V.A. Home Health Care Service and the clients of Civitan Services.
