Benton Code Enforcement Officer Charlie Carty and wife Jan join others for the lavish refreshments that followed a veterans tribute hosted by Marcelina and Bob Davis at their Haskell home. A program featured Korean War veteran Walter Rhodes and patriotic musical selections. Marcelina Beaty Davis is a native of Mexico, but has lived in Saline County for 45 years. She has been a U.S. citizen for 25 years and is fiercely loyal to her adopted country.
