First-graders at Caldwell Elementary School wave American flags as they sing “We Are Thankful for the U.S.A.” under the direction of Melissa Pate, music instructor at the school. The presentation was included in a Veterans Day ceremony at the school, where a flag was presented as a tribute to the late John Lowrance. Presenting the flag to the school were his great-grandsons, Jeremy Lowrance and Jason Newburn. Also attending were Lowrance’s grandson, J.J.
