Albert Henry Benefield, 68, of Bryant died Monday, March 26, 2007.
He was born Jan. 6, 1939, in Vimy Ridge to Harv Thompson and Ida Lenora Benefield.
Mr. Benefield was a retired Little Rock police officer and a Navy veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Myrtis Lavine Benefield.
Survivors include his son, Harold William Benefield of Glen Burnie, Md.; one daughter, Nancy Jane Howard of Ashburn, Va.; his fiancé, Ruby James of Benton; two brothers, Roy Watts of Readlyn, Iowa and Paul Watts of Illinois; three sisters, Ima-Jean Luttrell of Basehor, Kan., Frances O’Rear of Camdenton, Mo., and Catherine Thompson of Little Rock; and eight grandchildren, Melanie Benefield, Samantha Benefield, Calvin Benefield, Jonathan Howard, Brittany Howard, Kayla Towle, Kathryn Towle and Zachariah Vallee.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ashby Funeral Home, with Dr. Rick Grant officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
