Bobby Ray Sparks Sr. E-mail

Bobby Ray Sparks Sr., age 78, of Benton passed away on Jan. 27, 2010, in Benton.
Mr. Sparks was born on Jan. 22, 1932, in Monticello, Ark., to his parents Ray and Orpha Sparks.
Bobby owned and operated Sparks Department Store in Downtown Benton for 34 years and loved airplanes, fast cars and children. His greatest love, later in life, was spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Sparks is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Barbara Sue Sparks; and his sister, Virginia Nell Sparks.
Bobby is survived by his sons, Garry Sparks and wife Marty of Benton and Bobby Sparks Jr., also of Benton.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Victor, Krysten, Anna, Taylor, Jared and Julie along with his siblings, Mary Ellen Morgan of Houston, Texas, Jimmy P. Sparks of Fayetteville and Peggy Trenham, of Prosper, Texas, and a host of nieces, nephews friends and relatives.
A celebration of Bobby’s life will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, at Dial & Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant, 501-847-9099. A private burial will be held at a later time.
Visitation for Mr. Sparks will be held prior to the service from 12:30 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
