Franklin D. Johnson, 72, of Benton died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010.  
He was born June 6, 1937, in the Bland community in Paron to Ollie T. and Villa Johnson.  
Mr. Johnson worked 35 years for Lucent Corp. in Little Rock as a drill press operator and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.  
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, OT, Eugene, Johnny and Charlie; and a sister, Mildred.
Survivors include his wife, Earlene Johnson; two sons, Greg Johnson and wife Dawn and Jodie Johnson and wife Lisa, all of Benton; a daughter, Lou Ann Brady of Benton; a brother, Joe Johnson and wife Ida of Little Rock; six grandchildren, Beth Johnson of Benton, Cody Johnson of Liberty, Mo., Josh Johnson of Benton, Helen Johnson of El Dorado, Scott Johnson of El Dorado and Cassedy Brady of Benton; his mother-in-law, Nancy Hobbs of Benton; three sisters-in-law, Gussie and Frances Johnson of Benton and Mayiko Johnson of Fayetteville, N.C.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ashby Funeral Home. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery. The Revs. Mike Titsworth and Kim Hammer will be officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Ashby Funeral Home.
