Aretha “Ollie” Carrigan Golston E-mail

Aretha “Ollie” Carrigan Golston, 95, of Washington, Ark., died Monday, Feb. 1, 2010.  
She was born May 10, 1914, to Mark Carrigan and Isadora Bishop Carrigan.
She was preceded in death by husband, Joe Golston; and her parents.
Survivors include a daughter, Van Dora Stamps and husband Leon of Benton; four grandchildren, Sharran Hood and husband Dennis of Grapevine, Texas, Winifred Stamps of Benton, Gerald Stamps and wife Debra of Marion and Dr. Henry Stamps and wife Ametria of Collierville, Tenn.; three great-grandchildren, Gerald Stamps II, Elizabeth Chloe Hood and Joseph Stamps; a sister, Kathalean Hartsfield of Texarkana; a brother, Willie Curtis Carrigan of Ozan; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Methodist Church in Washington. Arrangements by Hicks Funeral Home Inc. in Hope. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery in Washington.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home and 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital Burn Unit and Arkansas Hospice.
