Virginia Elizabeth Dale Lawrence

Virginia Elizabeth Dale Lawrence, 80, of Benton passed away Wednesday, March 28, at Saline Memorial Hospital.  She was born Sept. 20, 1931, in Detonti to the late Robert Huey Dale and Eliza Geraldine Spurrier. 
Mrs. Lawrence was a loving wife and mother, a member of New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church and a retired store manager of the Jack 'N Jill children’s shop in Benton. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, the Rev. Riley E. Dale, Robert Huey Dale II, and Norman Wayne “Sam” Dale; and three sisters, Gladys Dale Newell, Juanita Dale Mauldin and Nettye Dale Jones.
She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Lawrence Sr. of Benton; sons, Robert E. Lawrence, Jr. and wife Beth of Tampa, Fla., and John Dale Lawrence of Benton; one sister, Bernice Dale Harrison of Benton; four grandchildren, Kristina Lawrence Howell (Jamie) of Plant City, Fla., Sarah Lawrence Haar (Joe) of Lajes Air Force Base, Azores, and Ryndi Mechele Lawrence and Kaylee Dale Lawrence, both of Glen Rose; and two great-grandchildren, Robert Emery Lawrence and Jolie Elaine Haar, both of Lajes AFB, Azores.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Harper officiating.  Burial will follow in New Friendship Cemetery at Shaw.  Serving as pallbearers are Bobby Dale, Tim Dale, Jason Willmon, Jon Willmon, Mike Parsons, and Mike Wood.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 30, at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the New Friendship Cemetery Fund, in care of Donald Fulcher, 7112 Croxton Road, Benton, AR 72015.
