Walter C. 'Pinky' Caldwell

Walter C. “Pinky” Caldwell, 86, of Bryant died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013.  He was born Nov. 3, 1926, in Lonsdale to the late Walter S. and Dora Moore Caldwell.
He retired as a dispatcher for Arkansas Power and Light Co. and served as a deacon at Temple Baptist Church.  Mr. Caldwell served in the U.S. Navy and was a 32nd-degree Master Mason. 
In addition to his parents, his loving wife of 57 years, Reba C. Caldwell, and 11 siblings also preceded him in death.
He is survived by four children, Rodney Caldwell and wife Jan of Bryant, Daryl Caldwell and wife Stacy of Greenbrier, Alan Caldwell and wife Suzanne of Durant, Okla., and Teresa Calhoun and husband Steve of Romance; 12 grandchildren, Rick, Monica, Marty, Luke, Caleb, Katie, Sean, Nick, Rachel, Jerod, Lauren and Cameron; 11 great-grandchildren, Jake, Austin, Maddi Sue, Aubree, Caden, Griffin, Mayson, Keaton, Brindel, Payslie and Tylar; a nephew, Ronald Harris and wife Rose of Bauxite; and a sister-in-law, Audrey Caldwell of Benton. 
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27, in the chapel of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, at the funeral home. 
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church Mission Fund and/or Arkansas Baptist Children’s Home, 222 W. Pope St., Monticello, AR 71655.
