Willie J. Robertson

Willie J. Robertson, 74, of Alexander passed away Friday, March 16. He was born April 61937 at Navy Landing to Joe R. and Mary Illa Fisher Robertson. He was a very loving and faithful husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He loved spending time with his friends and family outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Willie was also an avid Texas Holdem player, and was a member of the Collegeville Volunteer Fire Department for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David Ray Robertson.
Cherishing his memory are his wife of over 20 years, Donna Buchanan Robertson; his sons, Kyle Robertson and wife, Erin, of Benton and Douglas Robertson of Mabelvale; daughters, Deborah Ellison and husband, Ricky, of Benton and Connie Moyers and husband, Joe, of South Haven, Mississippi; step-daughter, Kathy Cook and husband, Jeremy, of Haskell; brothers, Joe Robertson of Benton and Pete Robertson of Columbus, Georgia; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren; and countless friends.
A celebration of his life will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 20 in the chapel of Griffin Leggett-Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy 5 North, Alexander (501)455-1067, with burial following at Pinecrest Memorial Park. The Bryant Fire Department will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 19 at the funeral home.
