Xuryvan Turbyfill, 90, of Benton passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013.
He was born Aug. 13, 1922, in Reform to Tom and Nancy Turbyfill. Xuryvan was a member of Salem Church of Christ and enjoyed woodworking, having worked for Jones Lumber Co. for more than 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his loving and faithful wife of 61 years, Billie Jean Claris Wallis Turbyfill; a son, Calvin Turbyfill; two brothers, Cledus and Tommy Turbyfill; and his parents, Tom and Nancy Turbyfill.
Xuryvan is survived by his sons, Van Turbyfill and wife Ann and Mark Turbyfill; a brother, Leland Turbyfill and wife, Joyce; granddaughters, Debora Midgett and husband Greg, Melinda Tudor and husband Paul; grandsons, David Turbyfill and wife Shawn, Bart Turbyfill and wife Kendra, Daniel Turbyfill and wife, Kristie; great-grandchildren, Josh McNeil and wife Melissa, Sarah Cummings and husband Matt, Wade McNeil, Bailey LeVart, Will Tudor, Lynsey, Landon, Tyler, Alex, Kinley, Cade and Harper Turbyfill; great-great-grandsons, Braylen and Beau Cummings; a brother-in-law, Junior Wallis; and a daughter-in-law, Debbie Turbyfill; and a many friends and family who loved him dearly.
Funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, July 19, at Ashby Funeral Home with Tommy Parsons officiating.
Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers are Bart, David Daniel, Landon, Tyler, Alex and Cade Turbyfill, Wade McNeil and Will Tudor.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 18, at the funeral home.
