James Neighbours, 80, of Bryant passed away Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014.
He was born Nov. 30, 1933. in Malvern.
Mr. Neighbours worked for the Arkansas State Police and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bryant. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Whitt and Verda Neighbours; his first wife, Barbara Neighbours; a daughter, Joe Ella; a stepson, Dale Night; and a sister, Jean Hendrix.

Inez F. Petty Whatley

Inez F. Petty Whatley, 83, of Benton passed away Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014.
She was born Oct. 15, 1930, in Texas. 
Mrs. Whatley was a homemaker and a member of New Life Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clara and John Petty; four sisters; and one brother.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, A.G. Whatley; two sons, Richard Whatley and Sonny Whatley (Ann); two daughters, Frances Wisely (Scotty) and Patricia Woods (Richard); seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Glenna A. Rowland McAllister

Glenna A. Rowland McAllister, age 92, of Benton passed away Friday, Sept. 12, 2014. 
She was born Aug. 19, 1922, in Paron.
Mrs. McAllister was a homemaker and a member of the Benton Apostolic Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jada and Myrtle Louallen; two husbands, Willie Rowland and Louis McAllister; five grandchildren, Leslie Berry, Debbie Berry Wilson, Freda Carol Rowland, Steven Straughn and Stephanie Williams; a great-grandson, Cody Goode; and seven siblings.

Paul Eugene Shaw

Paul Eugene Shaw, 75, of Bryant, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2014.  He was born May 30, 1939, in McCrory. Woodruff County, to Paul Moses and Gladys Thompson Shaw.  Following high school, Paul served in the United States Air Force during the peacetime between the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War.  Simple in his taste, Paul was a quiet and gentle man, slow to anger and always quick with his laughter and sense of humor. 

Harold Ray Dabbs

Harold Ray Dabbs, 73, of Bryant, AR crossed into heaven on Thursday, September 11, 2014. He was born in Glen Rose, July 25, 1941 and attended Magnet Cove High School, received his Bachelor’s Degree from Henderson State University and graduated from UAMS School of Pharmacy in 1966.  After owning his own pharmacy in Murfreesboro during the 70’s and 80’s he returned to Little Rock to work at the VA and while there earned his Doctorate Degree of Pharmacy at University of Arkansas School of Pharmacy.   Harold was truly a lifetime learner always seeking more knowledge to help those around him.

Lottie Vay White

Lottie Vay White, 81 of Benton, went to be with the Lord on September 11, 2014. She was born March 10, 1933 to James H. Suggs and Anna Cody Suggs in Casa. She loved dancing, yard work and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Scott White, sons; Nicky and David Garrett, two sisters and one brother.

Virginia “Jenny” Gray Watson

Virginia “Jenny” Gray Watson, 85, of Bryant went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 10, 2014. She was born July 28, 1929 in Malvern, to the late Lonnie and Ara Gray. She was retired from Westinghouse/Phillips Lighting. She spent her retired years at Bryant Senior Center and vacationing at Sunbay Resort in Hot Springs.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Waylon Watson; brother, William Gray and sister, Barbara Pearson.

Minnie Bell Covert Roberts

Minnie Bell Covert Roberts, 79 of Donaldson, passed away September 10, 2014.  She was born April 21, 1935 in Benton to the late Fred and Bertie Lobbs Harris.
Minnie was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 57 years, J.D. Covert.
She is survived by husband, Elbert Roberts of Donaldson, son, Jerry Covert and wife, Shirley of Benton, daughter, Teresa Covert McNeely and husband, Aubrey, Jr. of Benton, grandchildren, Jerrick Covert and wife, Carly, Erica McNeely, Lauren McNeely and fiancé, Corey Lamb, great grandchildren, Zack Covert and Aliyah (Ali) Kennedy.

Alma J. Cash

Alma J. Cash, 88, of Benton passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014 in Little Rock.  She was born July 29, 1926 in Little Rock to the late Albert and Nira Grimmett Cheatham.  Mrs. Cash was a CNA for the State of Arkansas and was a member of Smyrna Bible Church.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard P. Cash, two sons, Larry D. Matthews and Rusty Lynn Matthews; and one daughter, Beverly G. Matthews Williams.

Buddy Wayne English

Buddy Wayne English, 76, of Benton, passed away September 10, 2014. He was born to the late Jim E. and Ruby Berry English on August 22, 1938 in Bauxite.
Buddy Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James E. English, Charles English, and infant brother; and sister, LaWanda Stuckey.
