Irvin Dale Brown

Irvin Dale Brown, 75, of Benton, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2015 at Arkansas Hospice and Home Care in Little Rock.  He was born Oct. 10, 1939 in Mabelvale, to the late Forrest Irvin Brown and Emilie (Hurlimann) Brown. He was a member of Geyer Springs Baptist Church, a former pastor of New Life Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, and retired as a machine operator from Stone Container. Mr. Brown was a United States Marine Corp veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by and one sister, Kitty Roe.   

Anita Sweeney

Anita Sweeney, 72, of Benton, passed away Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015.  She was born Oct. 27, 1942 in Benton, to Juanita and Burton Bradley.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Rachelle Eubanks.
Survivors include her son, William Bryan Sanges; son-in-law, Phillip Kime Eubanks; four grandchildren, Jessica Eubanks, Parker Eubanks, Riley Eubanks, Christopher Sanges; and a granddaughter-in-law, Heidie Taylor-Sanges, all of Benton. 
Cremation arrangements provided by Roller-Ballard Funeral Home. 

Ernest W. Combs

Ernest W. Combs, 79, of Bauxite, born Nov. 13, 1935, passed away Jan. 17, 2015.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Sarah; son, Ernest Combs, Jr.; and parents, Gorman and Lillie Combs.
Ernest is survived by his children, Lorie Combs, Ernest Combs, Jr., Richard Combs, William Combs, Kathy Murphy, Peggy Burnett, Michelle Foucault, and Scott Erdman; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 22 at Trinity Baptist Church on Bauxite highway in Benton.

Jennie Earline Summers Yoakum

Mrs. Jennie Earline Summers Yoakum, 88, of Benton, and a former resident of Blytheville for most of her life, passed from this life on Friday, Jan. 16, 2015 at the Saline County Hospice in Bryant. Jennie was born one of eight children to Tom and Lina Campbell Summers on Sept. 29, 1926 in Halls, Tennessee. Jennie worked at several places but will be most remembered for her dedicated years of service and work at the Burger Broil. She was a cashier and assistant manager who helped to make the Burger Broil one of the most popular places in Blytheville.

Bobby D. Singley

Bobby D. Singley, 76, of Alexander, passed away Jan. 16, 2015. 
He was born June 25, 1938 in Little Rock to the late Samuel B. and Estelle (Sander) Singley. Mr. Singley was a United States Army veteran, a retired machinist for AT&T Communications and of Baptist faith.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn S. Singley and one brother, Tom Singley.

Byron Thomas (Bill) Lozano

Byron Thomas (Bill) Lozano, 81, of Benton, passed away Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015. 
He was born Nov. 26, 1933 in Little Rock. Mr. Lozano served in the Navy during the Korean War and was a certified general technician for Russell Chevrolet for 38 years. He was past president of Mid-Arkansas Radio Control Society and an avid hunter. 
Mr. Lozano was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ferne Lozano.

Clara Odean Whitfield

Clara Odean Whitfield, 89, of Benton went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015.
She was born Aug. 9, 1925, in Bismarck, Arkansas, to the late Wanie R. and Minnie M. Burroughs Whitfield.
She was a kind and gentle soul.  She had a loving servant’s heart and was always giving of her time to others.  You always saw her with a baby on her hip - she loved “her babies."
In addition to her parents, Odean was also preceded in death by a brother, Clifford Whitfield; and a sister, Oneeda Beebe.

Norris “Cotton” McDade

Norris “Cotton” McDade, 79, of Glen Rose, passed away Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015 at his home. He was born Oct. 26, 1935, in Traskwood, the son of the late Ollie McDade. He was a truck driver and the owner of McDade’s grocery in Traskwood. Norris was a member of Glen Rose Assembly of God Church.
Other than his mother, he is preceded in death by his brothers, John, Chuck, Carrol, Billy, Odell and Bob McDade and sisters, Sarah McDade and Mary Stonebraker.

Felton 'Fuzzy' L. Snow

Felton "Fuzzy" L. Snow, 96, of Little Rock passed from this life to his eternal life with his savior Jesus Christ on Jan. 11, 2015.
The last to carry the family name, he was born in 1918 to Ethel (Harrison) and John Thomas Snow of Snow Lane in Alexander.  He was a member of New Haven Baptist Church and a 32nd-degree Mason.

Andrew Eugene Poole, 27, of Maumelle passed away Jan. 3, 2015 in Monterrey, Mexico.
He was born Oct. 20, 1987, in Shreveport, La., to Ben F. Poole and Janet Poole Johnson.
Andrew was a wireless engineer at Hewlett Packard. He attained Eagle Scout ranking in Boy Scouts of America, had a positive influence on everyone he met, and his smile lit up a room.
