Marvin Lee Hodges

Marvin Lee Hodges, 76, of Bryant passed away peacefully Aug. 31, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Black Hawk, Miss., to Drayton and Grace Hodges.
Marvin had numerous friends over the years and was involved in many organizations. He was of the Methodist faith.

Linwood Talsma

September 2, 2014

Linwood Talsma, age 92, passed away in residence at Alcoa Pines, Benton, AR.  He was preceded in death by his dearly loved and beautiful wife, Margaret, and one son, Tom Talsma.
He is survived by four daughters, one son, nine grandchildren and an increasing number of great grandchildren.
He said he accomplished all his goals and was most proud of his family and of the people he was privileged to help learn the truth about God’s Kingdom.  We loved you, Daddy.  We will miss your gentle understanding heart.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.

Linwood Talsma

Virgie F. Caple

Virgie F. Caple, 94, of Warrensburg, Mo., passed away Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, at Harmony Gardens.
She was born Jan. 2, 1920, in Bauxite, the daughter of Lonnie Enoch and Leah Tabitha (Rucker)
Sweeten.
Virgie began her professional career as a registered nurse after completing training in Little Rock. She worked as a traveling registered nurse in the late 1930s. On March 8, 1941, she was united in marriage to Eldridge M. Caple in Bisbee, Ariz. After her marriage, she continued nursing in the Kansas City area.

Dorothy Rae (Eubanks) Polsgrove

Dorothy Rae (Eubanks) Polsgrove passed away Aug. 25, 2014.
Dorothy was born Jan. 30, 1946, to Seaford and Margaret Eubanks.
She was a teacher in the Bryant School District for more than 30 years.
Taking care of her grandchildren was a great joy for her. She was a foster parent for many years and was very involved in activities at Indian Springs Baptist Church. She loved to mow the lawn, play dominoes and cards, and was a practical joker.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother. William “Bill” Eubanks.

Heather Danielle Baker

Heather Danielle Baker, 20, of Benton went to be with the Lord on Aug. 22, 2014.
Heather was born in Searcy on Nov. 7, 1993. She was known for her genuine personality, her wit and her perfect smile.
Heather found a way to have fun no matter what she was doing. She had a love for shopping, photography, and spending time with her family and friends. She had a way of making everyone she met feel like they were the most important person in the world.

Callum Ernest Ward

Callum Ernest Ward, infant son of Chris and Danielle Ward of Benton, went to Heaven on Aug. 25, 2014. 
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ernestine Ward.
He is survived by his parents; two brothers, Devlin Burns and Ciaran Irvine; his grandparents, Robert Burns, Anne Hardin and Ferman Ward; his great-grandmother, Betty Parker; two uncles, Robbie Burns (Andrea) and Trevor Ward (Kim); three aunts, Angela Burns (Gert Bleuss), Michelle Cullen (Michael) and Brandy Vines (Jason); and several cousins.

James Benjamin Ezell Jr.

James Benjamin Ezell Jr., 86, of Benton, died Aug. 22, 2014. He was born June 9, 1928, in Gorgas, Ala., to James Benjamin Ezell and Lucille Hurn Ezell.
He graduated from the University of North Alabama in Florence, Ala., in 1951 with a degree in chemistry, biology, and psychology, and worked for Reynolds Metals in Sheffield, Ala., for two years before serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Bennie Sue Parsons

Bennie Sue Parsons, 70, of Alexander arrived at her heavenly home on Tues. Aug 12, 2014. She was born in Nashville, Ark on July 17, 1944 to the late Ira Alton and Gladys Mae Robertson. She had retired in 2011 from Sysco Arkansas to spend more time with her family and only grandson.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one nephew.

John Fred Chunn Sr.

August 26, 2014

John Fred Chunn Sr. of Benton passed from this life unto a better one at the age of 68 on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014.
Fred was an artist, master carpenter, eloquent calligraphist and a loving husband, dad, grandad, brother, uncle and friend. He retired from Dassault Falcon Jet in August 2011. He was born in Weatherford, Texas, on June 26, 1946.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nadine Halcombe Hixon of Arkadelphia and Curtis Wilson Chunn of Bridgeport, Texas.
