Helen Cummings Haltom

Helen Cummings Haltom, 82, of Malvern, formerly of Little Rock, passed away Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014.
She was born Oct. 12, 1932, in Humphrey, the daughter of Floyd and Elsie West Nelson.
Helen loved her family and grandkids and was of the Pentecostal faith.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by the father of her children, Irvin Cummings; her second husband, Homer Haltom; and a sister, Shirley Nelson.

Allyson Simmons

Alice N. "Allyson" Simmons, 82, of Benton joined her heavenly family and her Lord on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014. 
Allyson was born Sept. 7, 1932, in Cullendale.
She was a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University and served as business manager for Simmons Eye Care from 1962 to 1988.
She was a volunteer receptionist for Saline Memorial Hospital from 2002 to the present and had been an active member of Benton's First Baptist Church since 1957. 
She was a "Red Hat Lady" and a supporter of Churches Joint Council on Human Needs (CJCOHN).

Jenny Lee Shockey

Jenny Lee Shockey, age 34, of Haskell passed away Thursday, Dec.18, 2014.
She was born Sept. 12, 1980, in Benton, the daughter of Robert Lee and Darla Kay Barnes Blevins.
She was a 1998 graduate of Harmony Grove High School and attended UAMS where she studied to be a surgical technologist.
Jenny attended Fairplay Missionary Baptist Church and Fellowship Bible Church. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Russell and Dorothy Riley and Donald Barnes.

Billie Bice

Billie Bice, age 82, of Benton, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014. 
Billie was born in Ward on July 23, 1932, and was preceded in death by her father, Lee Roy Talkington; her mother, Ruble Cozart Haley; and her husband, O. E. Bice.
She is survived by one daughter, Debbie Bagley and husband John; one brother, Sam Talkington and wife Suzanne; a niece, Toni Hughes; and a nephew, Todd Talkington, and wife, Julie. 
Billie served as assistant to mayors of Benton for 27 years and enjoyed many friends and relationship through her work and life. 

Dexa Susan Williams Campbell

Dexa Susan Williams Campbell, born March 24, 1933, went to be with her heavenly father on Dec. 18, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, John W. Campbell; two grandsons, Christopher Lee Campbell and Ernest Aaron  Spickes; her parents; and six siblings.
She leaves to honor her memory, her daughters Vaughnnice Evans (Chock), Brenda Armbrust (Kurt) and Nancy Santini  (Jim); one brother, Vaughn Williams; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and  friends and family of Briarwood Nursing and Rehab. 

Brayden Mark Daniel Bohac

Brayden Mark Daniel Bohac, 4, of Bryant passed away Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014, at his residence. He was an avid  Ninjia Turtle fan.
Brayden, or “Bubba” as he was known to his sisters, Abi and Bella, is also survived by his parents, Joshua J. and Tabitha neé Hillman Bohac of Bryant; his grandmother, Pamela Bohac of Bryant; his grandmother Janice “Nanny” Hogan; his grandfather, John W. Bohac.
Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Highway 5 North, Alexander, AR 72202.

George Henry Edward Reeves

George Henry Edward Reeves, 72, of Benton, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014. He was born July 11, 1942 in Lonoke. George was the owner of Reeves Used Cars in Benton and a United States Army veteran. George was well loved and respected by many in the Benton area and will be greatly missed. George was always a man of his word — if he told you he would do something, he did it. He loved playing golf and spending time with his family.

Herbert Louis Wilson

Herbert Louis Wilson, 83, of Pleasant View, Tennessee, died Wednesday, Dec.17, 2014 at Christian Care Center in Springfield, Tennessee.  Mr. Wilson was born April 7, 1931 in Rose Bud to the late Clarence and Stella Kerr Wilson. He was a member of the First Baptist Church Joelton and was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served in the Korean War.  He was an accountant, locksmith and employed with the Arkansas Department of Corrections as a maintenance supervisor. In his spare time, he loved to paint and write.

William Fulton Baxley

William Fulton Baxley, 93, of Benton passed away Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014.
He was born Feb. 20, 1921, in the Sardis community.
Mr. Baxley was a World War II Air Force veteran and a retired electrician from Reynolds.
Fulton and his late wife, Meda, were avid campers with Telephone Pioneers and several other groups.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Emma Baxley; his wife, Meda Baxley; and a brother, James E. Baxley.
