The Everett GMC AA Legion baseball team lost to Hot Springs Village after Hot Springs scored seven runs in the first, one in the second, two in the fourth and seven in the fifth to win 17-7 Friday night.
Everett scored a run in the first and second innings, four in the fourth and one in the fifth.
In the first inning, Ryne Bewley was hit by a pitch and Hunter Wray walked to begin the inning. A wild pitch, an error and a ground out by Austin Kennedy trimmed Hot Spring Village’s lead to 7-1.
In the second for Everett, Alex Wilcox and Caleb Terry singled. Bewley hit a RBI single for Everett’s second run of the game.
In the fourth, Wilcox and Dylan Oliver led off with a single and a walk. Bewley reached on an error and Wray walked to force in a run. Holt Fulcher hit a RBI single and an error allowed him to advance to third.
Kennedy reached on a fielder’s choice and for a run to score. Tyler Lewis also reached on a fielder’s choice and plate a second run. Everett scored four runs in the fourth but still trailed 10-6.
In the fifth, Terry walked and Oliver reached on an error. Wray was hit by a pitch and Fulcher walked to force in Everett’s final run of the game.
Alex Wilcox was 2 for 3, Holt Fulcher was 1 for 3, Caleb Terry was 1 for 2, Tyler Lewis was 1 for 2 and Ryne Bewley was 1 for 3.
