Mamie Wagner Glover, 76, of Gravelly, formerly of Benton, died Friday, June 24, in Benton. She was born March 7, 1935, in Nola, to Lester and Ala Mea Jones Wagner. Mamie was a member of the 1952 Fourche Valley graduating class. She worked for American Airlines, Sears, Magic Mart/ Sterling Stores before retiring from the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration. She was a member of the Nola Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Billie Joe Glover, her parents, a sister and brother-in-law, Robbie and Roy Fickle, and her nephew Mark Wagner.
Survivors include her son, Gregory Glover and wife, Krista of Benton, a granddaughter, Kacy Platt and husband, Franklin, of Ft. Worth, Texas, a grandson Christopher Glover of Benton, a brother, J.B. Wagner and wife Margaret of Gravelly and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Cornwell Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday at the Nola Church of Christ with Leonard Fuson officiating. Interment will be at Parks Cemetery in Nola.
Family comments: The family extends a special thank you to her niece, Katie Fickle, for helping take care of Aunt Mamie over the last several years.
