Larry Neal Shaw, 72, of Benton, passed into eternal life with his Lord on Friday, July 2. He was born May 25, 1939 in Sweet Home to Ralph and Dorothy Shaw.
He married the love of his life, Elizabeth “Liz” Shaw on May 25, 1957 and enjoyed 54 wonderful years of marriage. They were blessed with two children, Teri L. Gates and Larry “Kip” Shaw Jr., who further blessed them with four grandchildren, Nicole Gates, Ryan Shaw, Jason Gates and Nick Shaw, and one great-grandchild, Ryland Shaw. Also surviving him are his sister, Patsy Cliff; a niece Tisha Deason; his spiritual daughter, Sharon Gayle Newman and husband Larry; three spiritual grandchildren, Shawna Singleton, Heather Smith and John M. Larry was a retired Master Electrician and maintenance director for Flake & Kelly Properties. He loved to study his Bible and share it with others and made an impact on many lives. He had a special love for people and never met a stranger. He was loved and respected by everyone and we miss him already. Heaven’s gain is our loss.
