Densel W. Dyer, 81, of Benton passed away on July 10, with his family by his side. Densel was born on July 28, 1929, to the late, Charles and Maude Dyer in Little Rock. He retired from Alcoa after 33 years. He was a member of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church for 58 years and a member of the Kate Wright Sunday school class. Densel was a very loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved wood carving, fishing and hunting. Being with his family was his most treasured times.
Densel is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Dyer; two sons, Denny Dyer and wife, Pat, and Bo Dyer and wife, Linda; seven grandchildren; Greg Dyer and wife, Shelly, Carlena Heath and husband, Chris, Chris Dyer and wife,Tausha, Niki Mathews and husband, Steven, Dustin Dyer and wife, Ashley, Kyle Dyer and Charlie Dyer; 11 great-grandchildren, Alix, Dalton, Kayla, Johnathan, Cole, Carley, Daniel, Lane, Austin, Jared and Gwenna; one sister, Billie Jo Little and husband, John; and a host of family, church family and friends that all loved and will miss him dearly.
A celebration of Densel’s life will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at Sharon Missionary Baptist Church in Benton with Richard Hamlin and Muncy Harris officiating.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant.
