Mark Devoe Jackson, 83, of Haskell, went to join his Heavenly Father on August 1. He was born on May 31, 1928 to the late Howell and Lillian Jackson in McJester. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Mark Edwin Jackson and brothers, James and Boyce Jackson.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Lou Jackson; daughter, Beverly Garrett; sons, Robert Jackson and wife Janie and Tracy Jackson and wife Vickie all of Haskell; eight grandchildren, Jimmy Garrett, Cindy Urban, Trevor Jackson, Lynsdey Kelly, Kayla Winfield, Steve Sheridan, Jamie Krticka and Carla Landon; seventeen great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and in laws.
Mark was a member of Traskwood Methodist Church. He loved being outdoors and working out in the Welding Shop. He was retired from Alcoa; Mayor and Alderman for the city of Haskell.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons and nephews, Jimmy Garrett, Trevor Jackson, Brian Cotton, Brad Cotton, Steve Sheridan and Ricky Krticka.
Chapel Services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 2 p.m. Thursday, August 4, with Bro. Randy Reed and Bro. Norris Doddridge officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Harmony Cemetery in Haskell.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 3, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.at Ashby Funeral Home
