Bobby Joe Mooney, 69, of Glen Rose went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 21. He was born January 14, 1942 in Prattsville, the son of Clifton and Ila (Stuckey) Mooney. He was a graduate of Prattsville High School and worked as a serviceman for Benton Utilities. Bobby had served as president of the Glen Rose School Board and was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death is his father; step-father, Halton Jordan; and son, Bradley Mooney.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife to whom he was married on October 5, 1963, Sue (Keisler) Mooney; his mother, Ila Mooney Jordan of Prattsville; daughters, Bobbie Sue Morrison of Benton, and Kristal Mooney of Springdale; brothers, Jay Dean Mooney of Magnet Cove, Darrell Jordan, and Terry Jordan, both of Prattsville; sisters, Linda Womble of Prattsville, and Wanda Steed of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Josh Swayze, Deanna Swayze Greenfield, Brittany Morrison, Nate Mooney, and Allie Mooney; great-grandchild, Peyton Swayze; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 22, 6 to 8 p.m. at Regency Funeral Home in Malvern.
Services will be Friday, September 23, at 10 a.m. in the Regency Chapel with Brother Don Goodman officiating. Interment will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery near Prattsville.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Tuggle, Wayne Tuggle, John Wayne Carver, Jerry Dawson, Brian Tull, Doug Keisler, Josh Tuggle, and Ronnie Vann. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Larry Brashears and the staff of HSC Medical Center.
