Amelia Trevino Frazier, 66, of Benton passed away Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Saline Memorial Hospital. She was born June 8, 1945, in Pearsall, Texas, to Fortunado Trevino and Teodora Cortez.
Amelia retired from Unilever Bestfoods in Little Rock after 20 years of service. She also served with the U.S. Army Dental Corps during the Vietnam War era. She spent most of her time giving to others and volunteering and had an unconditional love for animals. The first of its kind in the state, the equipment enabled firefighters to provide oxygen to animals caught in house fires. She frequently donated to numerous charities, her favorite being the Humane Society of the United States.
Amelia was an incredibly selfless and generous person, and her life set an example of what it truly means to live for others.
She was a member of Midtowne Church and a lifelong follower of Christ. Amelia loved shopping, reading, cooking and painting. She left us enexpectedly but was surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by many.
