Susan Gregory Baldwin passed over into glory Feb. 7 after an extended illness. She was born Aug. 23, 1961.
She was a longtime resident of Benton, before relocating to Sophia, N.C.
She was recognized in Benton as the owner and operator of Darlin’s Café and Bakery, and received numerous honors locally as a respected businesswoman. She was a skilled chef and baker, as well as being a talented visual artist and photographer. She was active in serving her church community, as a member of Quapaw Quarter United Methodist Church of Little Rock. She was a very talented vocalist, performing as a soloist and choir member.
She is survived by her life partner, Angela Baldwin of Sophia, N. C.; a son, Joshua T. Gregory of Cannon Beach, Ore.; and two beloved grandchildren, Scott and Jacie Gregory, also of Cannon Beach, Ore. Other family members include her father, Shelby Davis of Maumelle, and her mother, Kay Wilson of Mabelvale; her brother, Mark Davis; a sister, Lisa Warner of Mabelvale; as well as two nieces and two nephews.
A celebration of her life was shared Monday, Feb. 13, at Quapaw Quarter United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, her family asks that memorials be made to the ministries of Quapaw Quarter United Methodist Church. Arrangements were by Sechrest Funeral Home, Archdale, NC
