He also leaves many cousins, nieces, nephews and family in Louisiana, California and Oregon.
He lived several years in Oregon and retired to Arkansas in 1999 to be closer to his children and grandchildren. He was the true definition of a master shade tree mechanic and was a race car driver and drag car racer in the early to mid '60s with no fear of taking the checker flag for the win. He loved to tinker with all kinds of “handy man” tasks, fishing and his bird, Boogie Bird. He was much loved and will be missed by his family and friends from throughout the journey of his life here on earth.
To follow his wishes he will be cremated and will make his final resting place in Laran, La., with his mother.
Arrangements are pending with Peaceful Haven Funeral Home in Benton.
