Fay Eugene Doolin, 78, of Benton, passed away Sunday, July 1.
He was born in Selma on Dec. 9, 1933, to the late Cecil and Fern Doolin.
He was a member of Congo Road Baptist Church and was a retired construction and remodeling contractor. He was a member of the Arkansas National Guard and loved to fish.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Lee Doolin; two daughters, Susan Doolin and Barbara Bunton; one great-grandson, Jaden Richardson; and one brother, Cecil Finis Doolin.
He is survived by seven children, Bobbie Gabriel and husband Greg of Benton, Patricia Reagan and husband Allen of Benton, Kathy Richardson and husband Donald of Locus Grove, Lisa Woods and husband Adam of Malvern, Robin Hutchison and husband Mike of Benton, Robert Kellum of Lonoke, and Jeanann Lange of Nebraska; a granddaughter, Jackie Doolin, and 20 additional grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lorene Cobb of Kaufman and Ann Adcock of Dumas; one brother, Tommy Doolin of Bryant; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 5, at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton with Brother Todd Bray from Reyburn Creek Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Laws, Jeffery Richardson, Trye Price, Michael Woods, Timothy Staggs, and Ricky Marvel.
After the graveside service, the family will receive friends at Ridgecrest Baptist Church, 900 Ridge Road in Benton.
Visitation is from 6 ti 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 3, at the funeral home.
