
Robert Lee Jones Jr., 83, of Alexander passed away Sunday, Nov. 25. He was born Dec. 15, 1928 in Little Rock.
Mr. Jones served in the U.S. Navy and was a Master Plumber, having owned and operated Jones Plumbing in Mabelvale for 30 years. He was a 33rd-degree Mason, past president and vice president of the Arkansas Plumbers Association, co-founder of C.A.J. Apprentice Committee and a member of the Lions Club.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Jones Sr. and Serena Center Jones; his first wife of 48 years, Zena Ann Ault Jones; his second wife of 10 years, Wanda Goodson Jones; two brothers, Melvin and Floyd Jones; and a daughter-in-law, Betty Jones.
He is survived by four children, Charlotte Williams and husband Jackie, Kerry Jones and wife Susan, Joyce Tudor and Walter Jones; four stepdaughters, Norma and husband, Jim, Kathryn and husband, Ronnie, Linda and husband, Jim and Mary Ann and husband, Barry; brother, Jimmy Jones; two sisters, Maurine Polk and Betty Slaughter; his mother-in-law, Violet; grandchildren, Jason Williams and Cyndy Wortham, Neil Jones and wife Kristen, Stephanie Wolmarans and husband Kevin, J. Mechael Tudor, James M. Tudor III, J. Michael Tudor and Angela Adams; and great-grandchildren, Jared Williams, Zachary Jones, and Jane Ann and Lillian Adams.
Graveside service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at New Kirk Cemetery in Jessieville.
Visitation is set from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27 at Ashby Funeral Home.
