Doris Earline Sexton, 84, of Mena died Friday, March 1, at Rich Mountain Nursing and Rehab. She was born Jan. 11, 1929, to Robert Lee and Flora Anna Marquardt Tillman in Houston, Texas.
Doris was a person that enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. In her younger years, she lived in different places because she was married to a Navy man and lived in Hawaii for two years. Doris loved to travel and spending time in San Diego and New Orleans, with her husband and family; they were her greatest joy in life. She also was involved with the Parent Teacher Association and the Naval Wives Club. She enjoyed living here in Arkansas where she spent a lot of time reading, sewing and quilting. She was a homemaker and took great care of her family. She was an active member of the St. Agnes Catholic Church in Mena. Doris was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, John M. Sexton of Mena; her son, John Robert Sexton of Benton; her daughter, Sonia Gail Sexton Miller of Wickenburg, Ariz.; her brother, Robert Tillman Jr. of Mena; five grandchildren, Kevin Sexton of Maumelle, Dustin Sexton of Benton, Kasey Sexton of Grayslake, Ill., Charlie Martin and Jamie Miller, both of Los Angeles, Calif.; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Mena and will be announced by Bowser Family Funeral Home of Mena.
