Larry “Bones” Windell McKim, 60, of Donaldson passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Veterans Hospital in Little Rock.
Larry was born Sept. 9, 1952, in Malvern, to Windell and Lula Mae Gray McKim. He attended Ouachita High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1972 to 1976 as a tank driver and sharpshooter.
Larry owned a logging business, worked at Acme Brick Co.. was a regular at the Donaldson Store and of the Baptist faith.
He will be remembered as a proud father whose girls were his pride and joy. He could not wait to become a “Poppy” and was so proud of his three grandchildren. He was loved by family and friends and that sweet smile left you wondering what he was really up to. He will be greatly missed.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jerry Neil McKim.
He is survived by two daughters, Misty McKim Lloyd and husband Noah and Christy McKim Janske and husband Clay of Hot Springs; a brother, David McKim and wife Georgine of Benton; a sister, Bobbie Schultz and husband Raymond of Donaldson; three grandchildren, Jagger Janske, Axl Janske and Jude Lloyd; two nieces, Wendy Schultz and Tracy George; and three nephews, Michael Schultz, Jon Terry and Kevin Terry.
Funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 3, at Donaldson Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Bobby George and Brother Keith Rowton officiating. Pallbearers are Michael Schultz, David Smith, Ricky Catlett, Dale McDaniel, Steve Childers and Donny Cannon.
Visitation is set from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, at Regency Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Ouachita Cemetery.
The family will be at the home of Raymond and Bobbie Schultz in Donaldson.
