Stomp D.A.T., an anti-drugs, alcohol and tobacco group sponsored by the Benton Parks and Recreation Department, will present its Back to School Stomp at Tyndall Park on Saturday, from 4 to 7 p.m.
In addition to several booths providing information for students on the risks associated with using drugs, alcohol and tobacco, the family event will feature a plethora of extracurricular activities on which students can focus instead of turning to substance use.

Almost every booth will offer an activity, rather than just information, said Lisa Ferrell, administrative assistant for the parks department.
Tours of fire trucks and ambulances and bounce houses also will be available.
The event is free and water and popcorn will be provided.
Concessions will be available for other food and beverage items.
