Once a month, Benton Animal Control Director Terry Parsons takes animals to Minnesota to be adopted. In September 2017, a pit bull mix named "Little Man Jake" from Benton was adopted by Pat Bettendorf, who lives in St. Paul, Minnesota.

18-wheeler takes out guard rail, causing slight delay

Partnership announced between health systems and UA Little Rock

During a press conference Tuesday morning, officials with the Saline Health Systems and UA Little Rock revealed the new Saline Pathways program.

Arrest warrant scam targeting residents via phone

The Benton Police Department is asking residents to be on alert for an additional scam — this one via telephone. As of early Friday afternoon, at least two reports had been made of a male with a foreign accent calling residents and telling them they have warrants and they need to send money.
