Voters still casting ballots as early voting nears end

Nearly 18,000 ballots have been cast from early voters in the Nov. 6 general election, according to tallies from the Saline County Clerk's Office.
The exact total thus far is 17,952, which included 1,826 ballots on Wednesday.
Broken down by specific sites, that number included 941 in Benton, 664 in Bryant and 221 in the Lonsdale area.
Here is a list of the early voting sites in the county: the county voting facility in Benton ("Vote Here" building adjacent to the Saline County Annex); First Pentecostal Church on Arkansas 5 in Bryant; and Summit Bank on Arkansas 5 in the Lonsdale area, across from the East Gate entrance to Hot Springs Village.
Early voting hours in Benton are 8 a.m. till 6 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. On Monday, Nov. 5, the final day for early voting, only the Benton site will be open between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The hours for early voting at First Pentecostal and Summit Bank are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Neither location will be open on Nov. 5.
The early voting dates are set by the state Legislature.
On Election Day, Nov. 6, voters must go to their respective polling sites to cast their ballots. Polls will open at 7:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m.
