On Friday the Benton Police Department held a promotion and award ceremony at the Benton Event Center.

Saline County started the new year by swearing in the circuit and district judges at the Veteran's Memorial at the Saline County Courthouse. Photos of the swearing in will be in an upcoming edition of The Saline Courier.

Early voting begins in Saline County today. At the Benton Vote Center the line stretches around the side of the building due to the limited number of people being permitted inside at a time. One voter said their wait was only around 20 minutes.
During the National Night Out: Fellowship in the Park at Ralph Bunche Park people from the community and members of the Benton Police Department came together for fellowship and to learn to be unified.
