The much-anticipated Saline Courier Readers’ Choice poll begins today.
This annual readers’ survey asks the community to nominate their favorite Saline County businesses for the honor of being named the Best of Saline County. The Readers’ Choice contest has three phases -- nominations phase, voting phase, and finally the announcement of winners.
The contest is divided up into 10 categories and more than 300 subcategories. Readers nominate local businesses in everything from favorite hot dog to best apartment complex.
The nominations are populated on that webpage and then, beginning on Tuesday, April 11, readers are asked to vote for their favorite local business in each of the categories.
Participants can vote once per day online through the contest period.
An official voting ballot will publish in The Saline Courier on Saturday, April 15 and must be returned to The Saline Courier office by 5 p.m. Friday, April 21 to be counted alongside the online votes.
Typically, the annual readers’ choice contest draws participation from thousands of participants and voters cast tens of thousands of votes in support of their favorite Saline County businesses.
When the votes are counted, businesses will be notified and announced in the Saturday, May 25 edition of The Saline Courier and online at www.SalineCourier.com.
