Thursday night at Lake Hamilton, the Benton 8th Grade Panthers improved to 4-0 with a 26-18 victory over the Wolves. The Freshman Panthers, now 2-2, dropped their second straight game by a single point, falling 27-26 to the Wolves.

The Benton tennis team rolled to another successful week, defeating the Texarkana Razorbacks 7-1 Thursday at Tyndall Park in Benton after first getting by the Sheridan Yellowjackets 5-3 Tuesday, also at Tyndall, in 5A South Conference action.

Getting off to a slow start Thursday in 3A Central Conference play in North Little Rock, the Harmony Grove Lady Cardinals regrouped and fought back to take three straight sets for the 3-1 victory over the Maumelle Charter Lady Falcons.

In a tough matchup against the No. 3 team in the state, the Bryant Lady Hornets would fall to the Conway Lady Wampus Cats in a 3-0 sweep. Conway won 25-12 and 25-14 before the Lady Hornets fought to the wire in the third set, dropping a 26-24 decision.
