Coming off of two extremely close games, the Bauxite Miners (10-9, 3-3) would cruise to a home victory over the DeQueen Leopards (6-12, 0-5) 68-26 on Tuesday night. The win would mark Bauxite’s third straight 7-4A Conference win.

Following the heartbreak of Tuesday night’s loss at the buzzer to Arkadelphia, the question was whether or not the Bauxite Miners could put the loss behind them with a quick turnaround. Despite a valiant effort, the Miners would fall to conference foe Nashville 65-56 at Fred Dawson Gym in Bauxite.

Leading the Mills Comets 32-23 at the half in the Jammin’ for Jackets championship game Saturday at Cirks Arena at Hall High School in Little Rock, the Bryant Hornets’ poor shooting in the second half would lead to Mills claiming a 57-53 victory, their second straight Jackets tournament title. 

After falling in their first two games at their host Benton Classic against two good teams in Watson Chapel Thursday and Harrison on Friday, the Benton Lady Panthers finished the Classic with a 51-43 win over the Pine Bluff Fillies Saturday at Benton Arena. 

Taking their first two games of the Benton Classic at home at Benton Arena Thursday and Friday, the Benton Panthers would drop their first game of the season in the Classic finale Saturday. Benton fell to Greene County Tech 54-47.
